Established in 1984, the Park Foundation acts to support the La Porte Park and Recreation Department in promoting, improving and creating La Porte parks. The Foundation strives to help in educating the community and visitors about the city's parks.

Foundation board members assist by administering gifts and bequests made to The Foundation and  use such donations to improve existing La Porte park facilities or to create new parks.

The Foundation acts to engage in charitable, scientific, educational, civic and horticultural activities as permitted under section 501(c) (3), (4), and (5) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Become a member or volunteer to help with maintenance, security, or special fund raising events held for the City parks. If you are interested in a special project and would like to contribute via a monetary or time donation, contact us with your specific interests.
